Syrian army kills 50 terrorists while repelling attacks in Idlib

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that units of the Syrian armed forces repelled a series of attacks in the de-escalation zone in Idlib, in the north of the country, in which 50 militants were killed.

"The Syrian armed forces units were able to maintain their positions during repelling the attacks. About 50 gunmen were killed and seven SUVs equipped with heavy and booby-trapped machine guns were destroyed," Uri Borenkov, head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, told a news conference.

He added, "24 Syrian military personnel were killed and 24 others were wounded during the past day in Latakia, Aleppo, Idlib and Hama."
