Taliban terrorists on Saturday launched a major four-sided offensive in the northern Afghan city of Kunduz, claiming control of several military barracks and government headquarters in sensitive areas and that its forces were steadily advancing inside the city.

Taliban spokesman said in various tweets, that the guerrillas of the terrorist movement took control of important military areas and barracks inside the city and closed the roads leading to it, claiming the killing of ten security personnel.

Mujahid confirmed that many government headquarters and military barracks are under siege, calling on those inside to surrender.

The government has yet to comment on the incident, while most telephone networks are down in the city.
