The International Council Supporting Fair Trial and Human Rights has said that the Bahraini authorities continue to get rid of their opposition, whether by direct killing, arbitrary sentences or by slow killing through denying them their right to treatment.

The International Council considered that the slow killing is what the authorities are practicing today against former MP Osama al-Tamimi, who was prevented from traveling for treatment after suffering a stroke in the brain and bleeding in the nose.

The Tamimi family has indicated that he suffers from a serious deterioration in his health, especially after one of his kidneys completely stopped working, calling on the authorities to allow Tamimi to leave the country for treatment.
