The first specialized library of Islamic-Arabic culture was opened in Melun, a south-eastern suburb of Paris, the French capital.

According to reports, the library was launched by Adel, a young French Muslim, with the aim of fighting Islamophobia and anti-Muslim racism in the society.

The founder of the library believes that knowledge is the best weapon against racism.

He said that the library is open to all citizens including Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, and others.

Books on different Islamic issues, philosophy, Islamic culture and rituals and scientific fields are available in the library.

There are also books for children that introduce Islam and teach Islamic rituals to the younger generation.

Adel noted that various forums and meetings to be held in the library will promote dialogue among different groups of people.
