Shia Right Watch sends letters to embassies and diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C. on the occasion of the Month of Muharram

Shia Rights Watch World Organization, one of the international rights organizations located in Washington D.C., has sent letters to many embassies in the US capital on the commencement of a new Hijri year and the month of Muharram; an important month for all Shia Muslims in the world.

Shia Rights Watch sent the letters to the headquarters of many embassies and diplomatic missions in Washington D.C. to clarify the nature of the religious rituals practiced by Shia people during this month which have many historical, humanitarian, and Islamic connotations, mainly the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and the battle of Karbala in the year 61 A.H.

Shia Rights Watch called on the regimes of many countries to stop harassing Shias while they are practicing their sacred rituals during this month, along with protecting the Shia communities from the terrorist attacks.
