World Health Organization representative praises the procedures in Karbala and discusses opening laboratory to detect coronavirus

The World Health Organization Representative Dr. Adham Ismail praised the anti-coronavirus measures in Karbala.

"Karbala is one of the dominant provinces regarding measures against the coronavirus, and I discussed with the Chief Cleric of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbalaey, the possibility of opening a laboratory to detect the virus in the province," Ismail said in a press conference held at the Holy Shrine.

He added, "The measures taken in Karbala are better than the rest of the provinces, but it is necessary to adhere to the curfew," noting that Iraq was the best among the countries in the region through the timing of travel control, and that the numbers announced by the Ministry of Health are accurate and transparent.
