Bahrain upholds 3-year prison sentence for six citizens

The Bahraini High Court of Appeal upheld a 3-year prison sentence imposed on 6 citizens after they were convicted of burning tires on Sitra Island.

The Public Prosecution claimed that, during the years 2018 and 2019, the six citizens deliberately set fire to tires in a public place and possessed Molotov cocktails.

With the escalation of the police campaign in the regions, and the arrest of a number of young men during the past few days, civil forces distributed educational documents to a number of houses in the towns of Abu Saiba and al-Shakhoura. Meanwhile, the regime forces called a group of people in the town of Aali to come for investigation without mentioning the reasons, according to what was mentioned by the Raids Monitoring Network.
