Taliban released 37 Afghan soldiers in wake of Doha agreement

The terrorist “Taliban” movement announced the release of 37 Afghan soldiers in Kunduz and Takhar provinces in the north of the country; implementing the Doha agreement.

 

The terrorist “Taliban” movement announced the release of 37 Afghan soldiers in Kunduz and Takhar provinces in the north of the country; implementing the Doha agreement.

“The movement’s fighters released 37 Afghan soldiers, who were detained last February, with the aim of promoting national peace, especially with the approach of Eid al-Adha,” said Suhail Shaheen, a spokesman for the movement’s political office, in a tweet on his Twitter page.

Shaheen said, “20 of the Afghan forces, who were released from the movement’s prisons in Takhar province, and 17 others in Kunduz province.”

Earlier, the spokesman said, “The Taliban are ready to release all Afghan soldiers detained before Eid al-Adha, and to start negotiations with the Afghan authorities if the prisoner exchange takes place.”
