The Iraqi judiciary authenticates the confessions of six terrorists who created hideouts in the Anbar desert

The Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council announced today, Monday, the authentication of the Karkh Investigation Court, which is specialized in terrorism cases, on the statements of six terrorists who have created underground hideouts in the Anbar desert.

In a statement, the Judicial Council said, “The Karkh Investigation Court, which is specialized in terrorism cases, authenticated the statements of six terrorists who created underground hideouts in the Anbar desert.”

It added, “The terrorist group is led by a Syrian terrorist named Abu Hajar Al-Suri, who worked for ISIS in Syria and received orders to move with the members of his group to the Anbar desert.”

The Council explained, “The security forces launched air strikes against them after they identified a rocky area in the Anbar desert, where they built the hideouts,” noting that “the terrorist group was carrying out specific operations inside the city and then hiding in the hideouts.”

Their statements were authenticated in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13 of 2005.
