The Supreme Court in the Indian city of Tamil Nadu has authorized the sending of pages from an ancient Quran to the Oxford University Laboratory in Britain to determine the date of its writing.

The authorization was issued by the court to send the Quran after the Indian Antiquities Organization opposed it.

 A man named Aminullah owns the Quran and has requested for the date of its writing.

Aminullah requested the examination of a piece of paper measuring 2 centimeters by 1.5 centimeters from the Quran at a British laboratory to determine the historical value of the holy book.
