2.5 million pilgrims on the Mountain of Arafa

Hajj pilgrims have begun arriving on Mount Arafa to stand and perform the greatest pillar of the rituals of Hajj.

More than two and a half million pilgrims complete the peak of the rites by standing in Arafa to pray and supplicate.

With the sunset, the pilgrims turn to Muzdalifah to collect the stones and spend the nights until the morning of Eid al-Adha to perform the rest of the rituals.
