Worshipers urged to be ‘vigilant’ after two mosques vandalized just hours apart

Police were called to Masjid-al-Momineen in Lancashire, United Kingdom, at 6.14am yesterday to reports of a burglary.

 

Police were called to Masjid-al-Momineen in Lancashire, United Kingdom, at 6.14am yesterday to reports of a burglary.

Property inside the Ash Street building was also damaged including to a door and a cupboard.

Lancashire Police were also made aware of a burglary at Madena Mosque, less than half a mile away on Oak Street.

It is thought to have occurred at some point between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

Damage was caused the a safe on the premises. Lancashire Council of Mosques are urging people to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
