Quran manuscripts repair plan begins in Sudan

Implementation of a national project to repair and restore old manuscript copies of the Quran has started in Sudan.

 

Implementation of a national project to repair and restore old manuscript copies of the Quran has started in Sudan.

According to gf365.co, the Africa House for Printing the Glorious Quran started implementing the plan, titled “Reverence of Quran” on February 10.

Old copies of Quran and Quranic manuscripts which need repair are collected from mosques, religious schools and traditional Quran teaching centers and houses in different parts of the country.

Mohammad Abdulqadir, director of the scientific affairs of the Quranic center has urged the citizens and Quran activists and students of traditional religious schools to cooperate in the national plan to collect the copies.

The Africa House for Printing the Glorious Quran was founded in 1415 A.H. in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan.

Printing out Quran copies considering the various recitation methods prevailing in Africa, offering Quran recordings based on the recitation methods, printing translations of the Quran and Islamic books and encouraging scientific research in Quranic fields are among the objectives of the center.
