Centuries-old manuscripts of the Holy Quran were recently rehabilitated with the efforts of the cultural heritage department of Iran’s Kurdistan province.

“We identified all physical harms with four separate sets of manuscripts being kept in rural mosques across the province,” said Jalil Balaei, the provincial tourism chief, CHTN reported.

With regard to their original authenticity, the manuscripts have been treated with deacidification, dressing, and strengthening processes, and will be put on show, he added, according to the Tehran Times.
