Naseem Karbala ‘Breeze of Karbala’ festival planned in Islamabad

The 5th edition of a cultural festival titled “Naseem  Karbala” (breeze of Karbala) will be organized in Islamabad, Pakistan, in May.

 

 

The 5th edition of a cultural festival titled “Naseem  Karbala” (breeze of Karbala) will be organized in Islamabad, Pakistan, in May.

According to the website of the custodianship of Imam Hussein’s, peace be upon him, holy shrine, the annual program is organized in cooperation with the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and al-Abbas, peace be upon them, holy shrines and Al-Kawthar Islamic University of Pakistan.

Muslim Abbas Sakban, head of the organizing committee of the festival, said that the flags from the two holy shrines as well as 14 flags symbolizing the 14, peace be upon them, will be raised at the opening ceremony of the festival .

The flag of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, will also be put on display in an exhibition on the sidelines of the festival, he added.

Other sideline programs of the festival will include a book fair, media and photo exhibitions and congregational prayers.

A delegation from Imam Hussein’s, peace be upon him, holy shrine plan to visit a number of Pakistani universities, hospitals and institutes as a part of the program.
