15 countries attending Arbaeen Exhibition in Iraq

The fifth edition of the Husseini Movement Exhibition is underway on the road between the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala in Iraq.

 

The fifth edition of the Husseini Movement Exhibition is underway on the road between the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala in Iraq.

According to Ain Iraq news agency, it features artworks by artists from 15 countries.

The exhibition has been organized by Ibda Art Center under the title of “Ibda’ Ala Tarq al-Hussein” an innovation on the path of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

Sarmad Naeemi, director of the center, said the aim of the expo is clarifying the movement of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, through the medium of art.

He said artworks in such fields as calligraphy, sculpture, photography, graphic design and painting have been put on display at the exhibition.

He added that the works are by artists from countries like Iraq, Algeria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Britain, Russia, Kuwait, Bahrain, India and Saudi Arabia.

The road between Najaf and Karbala has been the scene of one of the greatest religious rituals in the world.
