Quran memorization competition held in Rwanda

A national competition on memorization of the Holy Quran was held in Rwanda.

 

According to reports, 50 male and female memorizers of the Holy Quran participated in the competition.

The categories of the competition included memorization of the entire Quran and memorization of 2, 5, 10, or 20 parts of the holy book.

Islam is practiced by about 5 percent of the total population of the African country according to 2006 census.
