Imam Shirazi World Foundation urges for more reforms in Iraq

Following the current events in Iraq, Imam Shirazi World Foundation, located in Washington D.C., has released a statement regarding the reform package adopted by the Iraqi government.

The statement said that Imam Shirazi World Foundation is awaiting the government’s serious measures against corruption in the Arab country, denouncing any move that could be taken to disperse the protesters.

The foundation has also stressed the importance of completing the package of reforms from one hand, and protecting the protesters from another.

The foundation has seen that the protests came as an expected natural reaction towards the corruption in different ministries of the government which they expected to be better than that of the ex-regime.

 Imam Shirazi World Foundation has warned of violating freedom of expression or adopting any policy to seal the mouths of the protesters.
