The oldest manuscript of Nahj al- Balagha contained in the treasure of manuscripts of the Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents of Imam Redha Holy Shrine was unveiled on Tuesday during the ceremony in the Museum of the Qur'an and the treasures of the Holy Shrine at the presence of officials.
A specialist in charge of manuscripts Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents of Imam Redha Holy Shrine, noted, "This manuscript belongs to the 6th century AH and it is written by "Mohammad bin Mohammad bin Ahmad al-Naqib" in 544 AH.
Mohammad Reza Fazel Hashemi added, "This manuscript has 174 pages and is written in the 17-line page, and the late Fazel Khan endowed it to the Holy Shrine’s Library in 1065 AH. In this edition, in addition to the full text of Nahj al- Balagha, in the end, there are explanations about the stamps of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and the appreciation of Nahj al- Balagha.
He went on to say that the treasure of the manuscripts of Imam Redha Holy Shrine contains over 750 exquisite manuscript and lithographs of Nahj al-Balagha with descriptions and margins, and translations.
