Floor of al-Abbas Holy Shrine covered with art piece

An art piece designed with rare alabaster was laid on the floor of the Holy Shrine of al-Abbas, peace be upon him, in a record time on an area of 1000 square meters divided equally between men and women.

The head of Engineering Projects Department spoke to al-Kafeel Network saying: “The first stage was covering the floor of the women’s section and after that, we started the work on the men’s. By the end of the works in that section, all stages of covering the entire floor of the Holy Shrine have been completed and is now open to pilgrims.”

He added, “Many efforts have been exerted to complete this stage, and the Engineering Maintenance Department has played a large and effective role in all aspects of this work, starting with removing the layers of old floor and ending with the project finishing works.
