The 4th edition of “Amir-ul-Qura” national Quran recitation plan for Iraqi children was launched on June 30 in Iraq.

According to Al-Kafeel website, Sheikh Javad Nasrawi, director of the Quran Institute affiliated to the custodianship of al-Abbas holy shrine said the plan is being implemented under the supervision of the Center for Training Quran Reciters and Memorizers of the institute.

The main objective of the Quranic plan is to help raise a generation of Quran reciters in a short period of time based on modern teaching methods.

Students of elementary and secondary schools in different parts of the Arab country participate at the annual Quranic program during the summer vacations.

Quranic activities have significantly developed in Iraq in recent years, since the fall of former dictator Saddam Hussein’s regime.
