Karbala’s heritage displayed in Bein al-Haramein

The Youth Care Center of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, in collaboration with the Photography Team in Karbala, organized a photo exhibition in Bein al-Haramein, the area of between the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadhl al-Abbas, peace be upon them, to shed light upon the civilizational history and heritage of Karbala.

 

The Youth Care Center of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, in collaboration with the Photography Team in Karbala, organized a photo exhibition in Bein al-Haramein, the area of between the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadhl al-Abbas, peace be upon them, to shed light upon the civilizational history and heritage of Karbala.

Ruwad al-Karkooshi, center assistant director, said, “Under the sponsorship of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, a photo exhibition was held to display the holy city’s landmarks, history and antiquities, which date back to thousands of years.”

More than 60 photos shot by young Iraqi photographers were on display. 

“There lies ancient historical antiquities and treasures in Karbala that are significant to all Iraqis,” mentioned the Karbala branch president of the Iraqi Association for Photography, Alaa al-Mayali.
